BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT
Sudbury East By-Law Service’s MLEOs are responsible for enforcing municipal by-laws within the Sudbury East Municipalities. BUILDING SERVICES
The Sudbury East Building Department is responsible for all building permits, septic permit and inspections for the Municipalities of French River, Killarney, Markstay-Waren and St.-Charles.Under the Ontario Building Code Act, you must obtain a building permit to construct, demolish, renovate, alter, install or change the use of a building or septic system. Construction may not begin until a building permit has been issued.We provide professional building services to ensure all construction within the municipality complies with the Ontario Building Code and other applicable regulations. Our department reviews building permit applications, issues permits and conducts inspections at key stages of construction to promote safety, accessibility, and structural integrity.We work collaboratively with property owners, builders, and designers to support responsible development while protecting public safety and maintaining the quality and integrity of our community’s built environment.
